Project Director

PROJECT DIRECTOR ABERDEEN An opportunity has arisen for a Project Director to be employed by a Tier 1 contractor seconded to the northern division Ideally, you will be based in or around the Aberdeen area and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the Region What you will be doing: * Work with Clients and SFT to understand and scope out the required outcomes of identified and potential Hub projects * Identify appropriate and affordable funding solutions * Support translation of local and national policies into business cases and development plans, including place, net zero, inclusive economic growth, digital and any other arising new policies as they emerge * Coordinate feasibility studies and establish teams as required * Assess the key risks associated with proposed developments and ensure that these are mitigated or that provision is made to accommodate those risks * Support and promote the implementation of the North Infrastructure Commission * Provide leadership to project teams to ensure successful delivery over a full range of projects and programmes from initial inception through to on-site delivery * Establish close and strong relationships with a range of stakeholders About You: * An understanding of public sector processes and the ability to coordinate Hub activities with those requirements * Ability to manage innovation within a highly regulated environment * Familiarity with the preparation of business cases and project bidding * Desire to understand and promote the Company purpose, vision, values and culture * Organised, structured and professional, with a passion for excellence, striving to delivering the best * Flexibility, resilience and the ability to influence and build relationships with key stakeholders Demonstrating strong ethical standards with openness and honest * Commitment to the provision of excellent customer service, passionate, committed and enthusiastic in all that you do * A self-starter with a can-do attitude and a desire to pick up new challenges Dedicated to working together to achieve results Benefits * Salary £90,000 * 28 days leave + Bank holidays , increasing with years of service, plus the opportunity to purchase further holidays * Private Medical Insurance * Share save plan * A wide range of corporate discounts * Yearly Bonus Scheme * Comprehensive pension plan * Regular Save as You Earn share purchase scheme * Private medical scheme options are available for all salaried employees and our employee assistance programme also provides free 24/7 support to those who need it * Paid for yearly membership to one recognised professional association relevant to your role
